April Joy Giraldi

PROPERTY ACCOUNTING MANAGER

April Joy was born on O’ahu and fortunate to be raised on both O’ahu and Kaua’i.  She left the islands over thirty years ago to travel, grow and to affordably raise her family, with the mindset of returning.  After moving to three different states and studying abroad in Spain, she was called back to her home on the north shore of Kaua’i and her ‘ohana.

She has over thirty combined years in financial business services, management, and administration.  She worked for various health entities, however spent most of her years in accounting for higher education.  April Joy continued to excel her studies and leadership training in completing the Certification in Higher Education Customer Service, Florida Association of Bursars and Student Accounting Administrators Conferences, and licensing for both Florida Life and Annuity Insurance and the State of Florida Assisted Living Administrators.

Her passion is in serving her community wherever she resides.  For over ten years she volunteered at Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas County in construction, ReStore, and held a vital role in the landscaping team.  Most significantly, she served as a Home Services Committee Member and Partner to Homeowner Candidates with the opportunity in assisting each new homeowner from start to finish in building their forever Habitat for Humanity home.  At St. Petersburg College, she volunteered with Share Farming, Student Permaculture Club, and the Woman on the Way program.  With a heart for volunteering, she also helped with the Sustainable Urban Coalition Association (SUAC), Student Support Services, and Student Government.

April Joy is dedicated to building affordable homes, nurturing sustainability, and serving the people of Kaua’i.  She values being a part of this movement and fulfilling the Permanently Affordable Living mission in giving hope to the people of Kaua’i.
