Kauhale O Kekaha is a two-story apartment building located off Kamualiʻi Highway across the street from Kekaha Beach. It is made up of 13 units (twelve 2bed/1bath and one 3bed/2bath). The Beyond Housing Program Center is located on the ground floor. It consists of a program office, conference room, and computer lab. There is also a shared community space in the outdoor gazebo. Parking is designated.
To provide homes for the houseless, we take referrals from organizations (Women in Need, Family Life Center, Kauai Economic Opportunity, Catholic Charities, US Vets, and the Veterans Administration) who serve individuals in the Homeless Management Information System. We provide an onsite case manager and, in turn, refer tenants out to these organizations for social services.
