Brandon Sassone was born in California and raised between Kauaʻi and San Diego. With deep family roots in Hawaiʻi, he has always felt a strong connection to the islands. His mother was born and raised on Oʻahu, and his father has called Kauaʻi home for more than 40 years. Brandon attended Loyola Marymount University, where he earned a business degree in 2008 with an emphasis in travel and tourism.

In 2009, Brandon returned home to Hawaiʻi and began what would become a 15-year career in banking. He joined Bank of Hawaiʻi in 2010 through its Management Training Program and was later able to move back to Kauaʻi permanently when the bank opened a new branch on the island. After 10 years with Bank of Hawaiʻi, he served for two years as Director of Branch Operations at Kauaʻi Federal Credit Union before stepping into his current role as Private Banking Officer with First Hawaiian Bank. In that position, he works closely with community leaders across Kauaʻi and values the relationships he has built through serving the island he loves.

Moving back to Kauaʻi also gave Brandon a personal understanding of how difficult it can be for local families to find affordable housing. Experiencing those challenges firsthand for himself and his family deepened his commitment to helping create housing opportunities for others. That connection to community, and his desire to be part of meaningful solutions, is what drew him to PAL’s mission.
