Eliza Kobayashi
TREASURER
Eliza Kobayashi, also known as Lisa, was born & raised on Kaua’ in Hanamā’ulu. Both her parents immigrated from the Philippines for a better life in the United States. She is a graduate of Kauai High School and attended Kauai Community College for 2 years. Eliza had her first child at 18 years old and left college to raise her. Thirty years later, she now has 4 grown children. As a single mother, Eliza knows what it’s like to struggle to pay high rents and be unable to purchase market-priced homes on Kauai. She wants to help the local people buy a home so they can continue to afford to live on Kaua’i.
In 1996 she started her banking career at Bank of America as a teller, working full-time. In 1997, left to work for the Kauai Community Federal Credit Union, then in 2003, at the Bank of Hawaii for 16 years. In 2019, she had the opportunity to step up in a position at the Central Pacific Bank, as an Assistant Vice President and Senior Business Banking Officer where she enjoys people and helping them with their business. She is a Board of Director with the Kauai Humane Society, and a member of the Kauai Filipino Chamber, the Kauai Chamber, and Zonta Club of Kauai.
