Janice Bond
BOARD MEMBER
Janice is an accomplished English teacher and community advocate with over 40 years of experience in Hawaiʻi and Michigan. She is a mother and foster parent. Over the years, she has fostered 36 children. Janice served on the Tobacco Trust Fund Advisory Board for six years from inception, the Kauaʻi March of Dimes, and the American Cancer Society boards. She is an AARP and ACS CAN legislative advocate and Agency on Elderly Affairs board member. In addition, Janice is an East Kauaʻi Lions Club member heading the scholarship committee. She is a Hawaiʻi Education Association board member and serves on the finance and scholarship committees. As a member of the Kapaʻa Missionary Church, she has helped with mission projects overseas, the last in Thailand with an orphanage. Further, Janice volunteers with the Visitor Aloha Society Kauaʻi helping visitor victims, and with the Retired Senior Volunteer Program. In her spare time, she enjoys making and selling crafts and lei.
