Jim Edmonds
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, CO‑FOUNDER
Jim and Harvest Edmonds came to Kauaʻi in 1985, after 10 years on Oʻahu and one year on the Big Island. Here, they raised three sons (whom all call Kauaʻi home and have now given them five grandchildren). They have run several businesses. In 1988, Jim got his real estate license and soon founded Emerald Isle Properties in Kīlauea, where it resides today. Jim's experience includes completing more than 25 subdivisions, CPRs, and projects, personally and for clients. Jim's belief in the need for truly affordable housing and services for the residents of Kauaʻi led him to form PAL Hawaiʻi and build a dedicated team of staff and board members.
Jim has a history of advocacy for innovative and sustainable approaches to affordable housing on Kauaʻi. He says, “We don’t think outside of the box... we threw away the box years ago!” As Executive Director, Jim has committed 100% of his time and energy to the success of PAL’s mission. Jim's drive to make a difference for the residents of Kauaʻi is the driving force behind PAL Hawaiʻi, and he brings tremendous knowledge, experience, and energy. Jim won the National Association of REALTORS® Good Neighbor Award for his aloha spirit and passionate work.
