Kaʻiulani Kauahi
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Kaʻiulani was born on Oʻahu, raised in Kalihi, and has found her home on Kauaʻi. She grew up following her mom’s footsteps in the nonprofit world and is proud to work for a mission-driven organization like PAL. Seeing the drastic over-development of her birth island instilled a determination in her to help the Kanaka ʻŌiwi (Native Hawaiian) and local families who suffered the resulting consequences.
Her favorite parts of PAL are its ability to be agile, its commitment to sustainability, and its grassroots origin story. Her favorite memories from childhood are living in a small house with her parents, various aunties, uncles, and cousins — sharing joys, troubles, meals, pets, and chores. Her hobbies include snorkeling, reading, crafts, and trying to keep her garden alive.
